The Three Stooges were an American comic act best known for the approximately 190 short slapstick movies they made in the thirties, forties and fifties for Columbia Pictures. There were six Stooges in total, but the three Howard brothers: Shemp (1895-1955), Moe (1897-1975) and Jerome “Curly” (1903-1952) were the best known. After Jerome had joined the Stooges in 1934 he shaved of his hair. He even made the ironic comment: “Boy, do I look curly”, and therefore this became his stage name. Curly is the person on the left on the last photo on which The Stooges are posing together in golf outfits for their movie “Three Little Beers” The lot is a poly-resin sculpture of “Curly” and has the following measurements: Height: 65 cm (total) Width: 25 cm (figure) Depth: 20 cm (figure) Diameter pedestal: 35 cm Weight: approx. 5.5 kg the sculpture is a real collectors item both for a golf club, shop or at home.
