The Gibson SG-1 All American 1997 has become a very rare guitar among collectors, as they rarely show up on the market and especially if they are in good and original condition. This gorgeous Gibson was always cherished and apart from its charming signs of use, it is still in great and original condition.
The SG-1 was introduced in the early 1970s as a reduced SG with only one pickup. This guitar was taken into production again in the 1990s.
Manufacturing years: 1972-1977, 1990s.
Body style: Dual cutaway solidbody.
Wood composition: mahogany body, mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard.
Pickups: Single Gibson 500T ceramic Humbucker pickup, with switch, volume and tone control, tune-o-matic bridge, 24 frets.
Finish specifications: cherry is the standard finish for the SG-1.
Notable SG-players: Tony Iommi, Angus Young, Derek Trucks, Jeff Tweedy.
