A very special chess set designed by Elio Simonetti for the Italian artisan company Fontanini from Tuscany. This is a 100% authentic Fontanini set: each chess piece is equipped with the inscription: “DEPOSE ITALY” with the characteristic spider hallmark.
The pieces represent the army of Napoleon. Also Napoleon himself and his wife Josephine are of course represented. The pieces can also be safely stored in the original associated green storage box.
The set is in very good condition considering its age. The original paint and felt are still present on the chess pieces. The chessboard is also in excellent condition.
All chess pieces are very detailed, as you can see on the photos. Also special is that all chess pieces are weighted, which provides a luxury experience.
Height king: no less than 11.3 cm. The chessboard measures 47 x 47 x 1.5 cm.
The total weight is 5.0 kg.
Everything will be packaged with care and sent by registered mail.
