Chris Overbeeke (1946) studied at the Academie voor Kunst en Industrie (AKI) in Enschede, The Netherlands. He worked 25 years as an illustrator for various publishers, advertising agencies and companies. The last 20 years, Overbeeke worked as a painter.
Chris Overbeeke has a distinct preference for still lifes. Mostly serene compositions with contemporary objects, composed (along with the fruit) as restrained still paintings in which the (grazing) light plays an important role.
Technique: oil paint on wood.
Minor damage on the pitcher, see last photo, almost invisible.
