Midgard - Lampada industriale tipo 121
It is Midgard's 100th anniversary this year! It was founded in 1919 by Curt Fischer, named 'Industrial works Auma Ronneberger & Fischer'. These lamps were used widely in the Bauhaus trend. This beautiful, entirely original lamp type 121 was one of the Midgard models, from approx. 1920-1930. The black paint has mostly faded after a rough life in among others a metal factory. The lamp has a raw, industrial look.
The lamp has been completely disassembled, cleaned, treated with metal wax and refurbished, whilst retaining its industrial character. The lamp has been rewired with grounded black fabric wire (250 cm). New plug. The lamp socket is E27, all bulbs of that size can be used. Original (!) switch on top of the shade, still works flawlessly (switch can turn in both directions). Shade can be rotated to the left/right and upwards/downwards. Has the Midgard logo and 'D.G.R.M.' (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster = patent).
Assembled on a metal plate. Length: arm 1 = 56 m, arm 2 = 36 cm, shade diameter = 14 cm.
